Outdoor cushion care maintenance is crucial to extend the life and comfort of your outdoor seating. To keep them looking great and feeling cozy, regular cleaning is essential to remove dirt and stains.
CARE
Spills happen. That’s why we’ve made cleaning our cushions a breeze!
Use bleach and water to keep them looking as good as new. Our recommendation is a light rinse with water first, then a light spray of 100% Clorox bleach. For best results, let the bleach work its magic in the sunshine for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off.
MAINTENANCE
- Store cushions separately from teak furniture for the first year. The wood’s natural oil can stain the cushions
- Once the grey patina develops, it’s safe to store cushions with furniture
- For best results, use furniture covers when not in use
Furniture Covers
- Use covers made of breathable fabric
- Use covers to protect cushions from birds & tree debris
- Remove covers every few weeks to air out cushions
TIPS
- Do not remove cushion covers before cleaning – doing so can damage foam inserts
- Clean cushion from seam to seam – not just stained area
- Treat stains in a well-ventilated area
- Avoid using hard-bristle brushes & abrasive cleaners
- Do not submerge cushions in water
- Avoid direct contact with sunscreen
- Stand cushions upright to drain faster after cleaning
- Do not put cushions in the dryer
