Sun and summer are finally here, which means time for outdoor coziness on the terrace! As we spend more time outdoor, it is essential to create a welcoming outdoor lounge area where your beloved and you can enjoy those sunny days and warm evenings.
Feidao’s home stylist Kitty gives you 3 advice to create the coziest lounge area for your outdoor space.
Bring the indoor atmosphere outside
Our terrace has become an extension of our living room. We wish to bring the well-known cozy atmosphere from the living room to the terrace. You can find inspiration from homely elements, which creates a cozy and present mood. Anja recommends soft elements such as scatter cushions, plaids and sheepskin for a Nordic-inspired look. You can also unify your lounge area with an outdoor rug in muted colors and tones, that gives a homely look for the lounge area.
Divide the terrace into a cozy oasis
Separate your lounge group from the dining area to create an intimate and cozy oasis. Create a small room/oasis surrounded by green plants in pots or flower beds in planters.
Almost lounge areas are lanterns and lots of them. Lanterns are terrific for lightening up the area when the darkness falls, so you can prolong the magical summer vibe. You can also add another outdoor lighting such as light chains or a fire pit for coziness and to keep warm.
Complete your oasis with soft pillows and plaids for extra comfort and coziness.
